The Clarksville Clinic opened in 2000 and provides services for veterans in Kentucky and Tennessee. This is an active clinic for Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation Enduring Freedom returnees with its close proximity to Fort Campbell.

The Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Clinic at the Tennessee Valley Healthcare System was established in 2001. The facility houses a variety of resources to ensure quality treatment for veteran patients. The SCI clinic is a major part of the SCI program.

The SCI team, staff and physicians work closely with the spinal cord injured veteran, family members, and significant others to ensure the highest quality of care.

The stem cell transplant program at the TVHS Nashville campus provides services for veterans in need of stem cell transplants for treatment of hematologic malignancies. Initially, the hematology/oncology physician at the local VA medical center will send a referral packet to VA Central Office to be looked at by the Transplant Review Board. Once the patient is accepted for transplant evaluation, he/she will go to one of the three VA centers that provide stem cell transplants, one of which is located at the TVHS Nashville campus.

 - Allogeneic stem cell transplant: uses stem cells from a family member or an unrelated donor

 - Autologous stem cell transplant: uses the patient’s own stem cells to help with recovery following high-dose chemotherapy to treat the disease

 - Umbilical cord blood transplant: uses umbilical cord blood stem cells

 - Inpatient and outpatient services prior to, during, and after stem cell transplant

 - HLA-typing for donor matching

Through VetSuccess on Campus, VA and education institutions partner to give student Veterans the tools to ensure they achieve their academic goals, and the resources to find a meaningful career afterwards. VA assigns experienced counselors from its Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E) program to assist the growing number of Veterans taking advantage of VA education benefits. These counselors provide academic and vocational guidance to student Veterans, and provide them with information about VA benefits and healthcare services. The counselors maintain close relationships with local VA Vet Centers and VA medical facilities, referring Veterans as needed for counseling or medical services and providing assistance enrolling in and applying for VA medical and nonmedical benefits.
